chew on all day! Ouch!!!
But it all ends well... especially for dung beetles that make great use of elephant poop.
This guy was about 6 inches long.
This big male cam straight at us...
and was part of a foursome that hadn't been seen in weeks.
He settled under cover...
This zebra probably lost his tail to one of these guys...
he looked straight at us and yet straight through us at the same time.
This beauty was curious and on alert.
With such damp weather, the most feared animal in the jungle didn't appear so fearsome - the Cape Buffalo.
Although this is the most dangerous animal on the planet and we look farely harmless.
This old guy had just made a lucky kill...
and was panting to get his breath back.
He killed this unassuming wildebeeste as it came for a drink of water.
The old leopard got to enjoy a portion of his kill for a day until...
the gang of four stole the carcass from him...
and made a much quicker meal of the rotting carcass.
They dug in deep and when they opened the stomach, the stench was so foul...
I felt like I had to shower 3 times to get it off me.
Amazing how it doesn't bother them at all.
and you can see how close we are to them and they aren't remotely bothered by us.
Warthog.
He literally walked right next to our open Land Rover within petting distance...
and is probably the same old guy from the day before who had his meal stolen by the lions.
He had just finished defending his life and territory...
