My old friend, David Monk, hitting the spot with his elbow.

The crew - I can't tell you how great it was to have everyone together after so many years.
Having fun with Mart at the end of the night. What a fantastic wedding!
Andrea got to meet my Auntie Penny and Ralph...
not to mention how overwhelming it must have been to meet everyone from my past.
After the wedding we started off on our honeymoon with a stop north of Durban...
for afternoon tea at a stunning resort called Zimbali.
We then drove north seeing rural Africa and Andrea has since been practicing carrying things on her head...
We arrived at one of my favorite places in the world and were shown to our "Rondavel"...
luggage hoisted on heads waiting for me to arrive with the key.
You can see the majestic Drakensburg mountains reflected in the window of our cute little thatched "rondavel".
The resort, Champagne Castle, is where I spent my childhood holidays and it hasn't changed much...
to the magnificent lake and forest walks and hikes.
We were fortunate enough to witness a famous Drakensburg thunderstorm as it reverberated and cracked through the mountains.
Andrea impressed me with her newly acquired horse riding skills as we rode through the endless landscape of my childhood.
That afternoon we went on another ride through the Spienkop Nature Reserve.
We witnessed the brutality of nature as the mother Zebra didn't allow our guide to help save her dying baby.
We were able to ride up really close to...
the giraffe. The baby was actually very curious about us...
but eventually she joined her mom again as Andrea followed.
Interacting on horseback is a completely different experience...
than seeing them in a man made gas guzzling vehicle.
Although my horse "Flash" just wasn't into it. I thought I should carry him until we started heading home and then all of a sudden I couldn't hold him back!!
